New Delhi, May 8: Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL) has launches six different variants of its popular hatchback Brio – all priced in the range from Rs 4.12 lakh to Rs 6.13 lakh. For metallic colour of the model, an additional Rs 3,500 will be charged.




The new variants — EMT, EXMT, SMT, VMT, VXMT and VXAT — will come with some upgrades including driver seat height adjuster and rear windshield defogger, as an additional safety feature. The automaker said these features have been incorporated based on the customer's feedback.

“Brio is a significant model for Honda in India as the car added more than 32,000 customers in the last fiscal. It is our endeavour to study customers' needs and aspirations and introduce features that enhance the overall ownership experience,” Jnaneswar Sen, Senior Vice-President, Marketing and Sales, Honda Cars India, said.

The company is also offering ‘Honda Care Maintenance Package' with Brio for free periodic maintenance service up to 40,000 km or two years whichever occur first. Customers can buy this package for Rs 9,996.

Honda Brio is powered by 1.2-litre i-VTEC engine that produces 88bhp along with 110Nm of peak torque, and that currently also powers Honda Jazz. The car has a displacement of 1198 cc which is one of the best in terms of engine in the hatchback segment. The new Honda car comes equipped with 5 speed manual transmission and is equipped with ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) accompanied with Electric Stability Program (ESP) and Electronic Brakeforce distribution (EBD) which makes the car safe while driving on slippery roads.
