New Delhi, June 5: Open source software advocate Atul Chitnis passed away on Monday after a prolonged battle with cancer. Chitnis was 51 and is survived by his wife Shubha and daughter Geetanjali.
In 1998, Chitnis started the Bangalore Linux User group for open source. The open source conference was later renamed as FOSS.IN.
