Nirvana, the humongous (88.5 metre-long ) luxury mega yacht is on sale and the price is a cool $300 million. Built by South African construction mogul Oceanco and designed by Australia's Sam Sorgiovanni, this world cruising yacht is one of the most luxurious floating mansions on the sea. With its six decks, this mega-yacht is equipped with a majority of luxury amenities.Made with a steel hull and aluminum superstructure Nirvana's exterior boasts contemporary lines, a sleek navy blue hull, and a white superstructure. The ship has a total of 6 decks, and a 7.5 meter counter pool. The pool is located on the already massive aft deck.The main salon includes the formal dining area and lounge, looks into a substantially sized vivarium used to house exotic reptiles. Inside you'll find a state-of-the-art 3D cinema, jacuzzi, gymnasium, and spa facility, as well as twin tender garages with 2 x 11 metre tenders, skiboat and 10 jet ski/waverunners. There is also a helipad for use with a helicopter when the sea gets tired and blue.Accommodations on the vessel include: a master suite of 150 square meters, featuring an office and a private exterior deck area and whirlpool; a VIP suite lounge with “his and her bathrooms;” and 4 additional double VIP cabins.Nirvana can accommodate up to 12 guests. All guests cabins are situated on the main deck, with floor to ceiling windows and as well as the full beam VIP stateroom. Guests in master suite, complete with office, private deck and spa pool, can enjoy panoramic views from the foredeck. All the six decks of the yacht are connected by a main stairwell as well as an amazing glass elevator.The owner's stateroom dominates over half of the upper deck, with a private sunbathing area with Jacuzzi forward, salon with terraces over the sea and a covered dining area. On the very same deck one can find twin garages that hold smaller "day" boats, ski-boats, and 10 jet skis.Equipped with unmatched up-to-date amenities, the yacht is an epitome of leisurely luxury, the yacht's bathrooms are fully equipped with high-quality stone vanities and soak tubs.According to Sam Sorgiovanni, the motivation for Nirvana was to visually take guests from sandy shores to tropical rainforests, in a chic way. One of the most creative decor elements aboard Nirvana involves the guest stairway and glass-enclosed elevator, rising through all six decks. Note the palm frond-like pattern on the carpeted steps and the earthy tones for both the carpet and the wall treatment.Nirvana's tropical approach is visible in its vivarium, one of two on the main deck. A vivarium is an indoor space with animals and plants in as close to natural conditions as possible, for observation or research. Those are real water dragons you see, living with bearded lizards, turtles, frogs, and more. The two vivariums aboard Nirvana are used as partitions between the saloon, dining room, and sitting room/massage room—and no doubt put a smile on the face of anyone who really likes the tropical ambiance. The games area is also on the same deck as Nirvana's owner's suite, though it's available for anyone to enjoy. What's striking is the mix of bamboo flooring, teak, and other wood surfaces.The bamboo used here in the megayacht's saloon and throughout Nirvana is treated in a way to look like rippled sand, much the way real sand does when waves recede from the shoreline. Nirvana's saloon is also characterized by backlit wall panels adorned with bamboo details, and Balinese and Indonesian art pieces.After watching movies, guests can retire to one of five staterooms, all on the megayacht's main deck. There are four queen-bedded staterooms and another queen VIP with a lounge that can be converted into an additional twin-bedded cabin. Sandblasted oak walls and furnishings are complemented in each stateroom by rattan-adorned overheads, faux leather on headboards, and fish skin on side tables.Nirvana's wheelhouse measures 377 square feet (35 square meters), which is smaller than some other megayachts' working space, but no less well-outfitted. Since Nirvana may also voyage in chilly areas, the windows can be heated upon demand.For warm-weather, Nirvana has good alfresco areas for the owner and guests to enjoy. From the sunpads up top to the fresh- and seawater pool on the main deck, there are spiral stairs yielding access.For water sports, Nirvana's mini armada of watertoys offer a great solution.Ten PWCs, a ski boat, and two 36-foot (11-meter) tenders are at the ready in the tender garage, launched via one of four davits.
