New Delhi: Don't get disappointed if you were not able to get your hands on the Xiaomi Mi 3 despite several attempts on Flipkart. Reports suggest that the Chinese handset maker's popular smartphone Mi3 is now available for sale on eBay and OLX.

Moreover, several sellers across the country are offering sealed or unopened Mi 3 handsets at prices ranging between Rs 15,000 to Rs 25,000.

In its fifth flash sale, Xiaomi was able to sell 20,000 Mi 3 smartphones, within 2.3 seconds, which left a lot of people who had registered to buy the phone on Flipkart, high and dry. This in turn has given huge publicity to the handset maker.

Xiaomi has an exclusive agreement with Flipkart to sell the Mi 3 devices only through the e-commerce website.
Mi 3 is the first Android smartphone with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset priced below Rs 15,000. The smartphone runs a tweaked version of Android 4.4 KitKat, called MIUI version 5. It offers a 5-inch full-HD LCD display (1080x1920 pixels) offering a pixel density of 441ppi. It is powered by a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 (MSM8274AB) processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and Adreno 330 GPU.

The internal storage capacity of Mi3 is 16 GB but the smartphone does not provide the expandable memory feature. It rear camera of this phone is of 13-megapixel with a dual-LED flash and the front-facing camera is of 2-megapixel.

Most of the ads of Mi3 put up by resellers on OLX and eBay show a sealed Mi 3 package from Flipkart and the seller claims to have bought two units. Some said that they are selling the phone at a higher price than the original price of the phone in order to make some easy money.
