Bengaluru: BMW unveiled the second generation of its X6 model in India on Thursday. The latest model will be available at BMW dealerships across India as CBU (Completely Built-Up) units from today onwards.
Speaking on the occassion, Mr. Philipp von Sahr, President, BMW Group India said, “BMW established the Sports Activity Coupe (SAC) segment with the introduction of BMW X6 and continues its remarkable success story. The BMW X6 was the first of its kind and the second generation once again perfectly combines quintessential BMW X qualities with elegance of a BMW coupe. The all-new BMW X6 with the M Sport package sees BMW once again setting the benchmark for extravagant, emotive design, luxurious interiors and extensive customisation options. The sporty exterior of a coupe and equally impressive dynamism and agility makes the all-new BMW X6 the most attractive and distinctive car both on the road and off the beaten track.”

The latest upgrade has an extrovert design that perfectly combines quintessential BMW X qualities with the athletic elegance of a BMW Coupe. The front view is dominated by a wide kidney grille and large front air inlets with horizontal chrome trims, horizontal lines along with rear L-shaped taillights with three –dimensional LED Adaptive Light banks emphasise the wide stance and convey a powerful, solid appearance.
The interior boasts a subtle elegance than its predecessor. The sense of exclusive sportiness is generated by the hallmark BMW driver oriented design of the cockpit, the innovative control and display elements, elevated seating position and lines which streak dynamically from the instrument panel into the door panels to form a ring around the interior. Special interior colours, exclusive trims and standard Dakota or optional Nappa leather upholstery.
The four-wheel drive system of the vehicle adapts perfectly to even the most challenging road surface conditions, ensuring outstanding traction at all times. Split-second response times allow xDrive to distribute drive power flexibly between the two axles for optimum grip. In this way, xDrive combines the advantages of all-wheel drive – traction, directional stability and safety – with classic BMW agility.
Despite its elegant coupé character, the vehicle is uniquely spacious. With the seat backrest in an upright position, the luggage compartment in the BMW X6 offers 580 litres of storage space. Depending on various requirements, the three sections of the backrests can be folded down in a 40:20:40 split and offers impressive 1,525 liters of luggage space when all three sections are folded down.
The latest model is available in Alpine White as non-metallic paintwork and in the following four metallic paintworks: Carbon Black, Flamenco Red Brilliant Effect, Space Grey and Mineral White.
The ex-showroom price of the BMW X6 xDrive40d is INR 1,15,00,000.
