Although the Indian four wheeler segment had a great year in 2015, the two-wheeler segment was a bit lackluster especially when it came to new and exciting launches.

Honda did deliver on its promise of launching 15 new products bringing out Hornet 160 at the end of the year.

Further, we saw some really good two-wheelers from Yamaha, Bajaj and Hero. However, the year 2016 has a lot of fresh and interesting launches in the pipeline, which will excite the bike enthusiasts.

Here are five such bikes to look forward in 2016.

TVS Apache RTR 200

bike

TVS Apache so far has produced bikes in the range of 150cc to 180cc and this would be the first time that the popular automaker would be venturing in the 200cc category.

The TVS Apache RTR 200 would finally be hitting the Indian market at the upcoming 2016 Indian Auto Expo.

The bike features a 200cc, air-cooled fuel injected motor that should deliver a power packed performance.

There would be loads of other features as well that the bike would garner including ABS, integrated racing speedo console, under seat mobile charger and side stand indicator.

The bike is expected to be priced around Rs. 1 lac and its launch could also be accompanied by the arrival of an updated version of Apache RTR180.

Hero MotoCorp HX250R

Hero

Hero would also be releasing its much-anticipated HX250R that would be running on a 250cc liquid cooled engine while offering some incredible set of features including dual disc brakes, ABS, sharp dual headlamp section, clip on the handlebar and fully digital console.

Further, the bike looks stunning and is at par with any of its competitors at the moment.

Yamaha MT-03

Bike

Yamaha MT-03 would be the naked version of the Yamaha R3 and is scheduled to be on display at the 2016 Indian Auto Expo.

The launch of the bike would be somewhere in the mid of next year. There is a lot of similarity between Yamaha MT-03 and Yamaha R3 with both the bikes being built on the same platform, however, the difference lies in the front portion and the reverse steering geometry.

The bike features a 321cc liquid cooled parallel twin engine that would be put in competition with the likes of KTM Duke 390, Kawasaki Z250 and Benelli TNT 300.

As far as price is concerned, Yamaha MT-03 would cost anywhere under Rs.3 lacs.

TVS-BMW G 310R

Bike

Another street fighter in the list of 2016 launches is TVS-BMW G 310R.

This naked street fighter comes with a 313cc engine that has a single cylinder liquid-cooled mill churning out 34bhp power.

There are some exciting elements in the machine which include inverted forks and an Anti-lock braking system with dual channel.

TVS-BMW G 310R would be on display at the 2016 Indian Auto Expo.

Bajaj Pulsar CS 400

Bajaj Pulsar CS 400 is said to be one of the most aesthetically pleasing bikes among the Pulsar family and its launch is expected to be by April 2016.

Powered by a 373.2cc liquid cooled engine, Bajaj Pulsar CS 400 delivers 40bhp power and 32Nm torque and seems to be inspired by the appearance of Ducati Diavel.
