New Delhi: After the launch of its high-end Android smartphone, Canadian smartphone-maker BlackBerry is now set to focus on the mid-range segment with the launch of two new smartphones this year, Blackberry CEO John Chen said in an interview.

Speaking to The National website, Chen said that while one of them will be full touchscreen, the other smartphone will come with a physical Qwerty keyboard. He also hinted that the prices of the two smartphones will be around $300-400 (roughly Rs. 20,000 - Rs. 26,600).

Chen also said that the Android-based Priv smartphone was too high-end for the enterprise customers. The company, as a result, cut down the price of the handset earlier this week.

The slider Android smartphone is now available at a price of $649 (approximately Rs. 43,000), down $50 (roughly Rs. 3,300) from the launch price of $699. On the other hand, the BlackBerry Priv in India is still retailing at Rs. 62,990 via Amazon and offline retail stores.

BlackBerry Priv features features a 5.4-inch QHD (1440x2560 pixels) Amoled display. It runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 hexa-core processor (1.8GHz dual-core Cortex-A57, and 1.44GHz quad-core Cortex-A53) clubbed with 3GB of RAM. It has a 32GB of expandable storage with an 18-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front-camera. The smartphone comes with a 3410mAh battery.
