American multinational Apple has silently increased the MacBook price in India by up to Rs 10,000.
The Apple India website has been updated to reflect the new prices. The revision of the price happened last week.
The device now starts at Rs 1,12,900, an increase of Rs 6,000 from last October, when prices across the entire Mac line were revised.
The variant with a faster processor and double the SSD storage now retails at Rs 1,39,990, up by Rs 10,000.
Prices of all other Mac desktops and laptops, however, remain unchanged. Also in the US, price of the MacBook, stays untouched.
Apple had in April launched the updated version of its thinnest MacBook laptop with faster processors.
The 13.1mm thin and approximately 900 weighing device features a battery that is capable of up to 10 hours of wireless web browsing on a single charge.
It comes with sixth-generation dual-core Intel Core M processors up to 1.3 GHz, with Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.1 GHz, and faster 1866 MHz memory. It also has new Intel HD Graphics 515 deliver up to 25% faster graphics performance, and faster PCIe-based flash storage. For connectivity, MacBook supports 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0.
It features the 2304x1440-pixel Retina display and has 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage.
An all-metal unibody, MacBook is available in four aluminium colour variants — gold, silver, space gray, and in rose gold colour.
