New Delhi, Jan 23: Former Formula 1 driver Nick Heidfeld announced on his Twitter account and website that he will race for World Endurance Championship (WEC) team Rebellion Racing for the 2013 season.
“I am very happy to announce that I will again be joining Rebellion Racing for the coming 2013 season!” said Heidfeld on Twitter.
“After winning two of the three races I participated in with the team and my teammates last year I am looking forward to enjoying a full season in sports cars.
I can't wait for our first race in Sebring. I will do my best to help Rebellion racing to proceed with the success achieved over the last years and I'm excited about the new experiences that lie ahead!” added the German driver on his website.
The 35-year-old drove in Formula 1 from 2000 to 2011 for Prost, Sauber, JOrdan, Williams, BMW Sauber and lastly with Lotus Renault.
