Patna, May 10: A Bihar BJP leader Giriraj Singh has started distributing an eight-song album eulogizing Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi, and this has raised the heckles of alliance partner of Janata Dal-United.
The singer in the album is Rocky Mittal, who hails from Kaithal (Haryana), and is a known folk singer.
Giriraj Singh has started making CDs of the music album and is distributing it among party workers.
In the eight songs, Modi is projected as India's next PM, and names of Advani, Sushma Swaraj, Arun Jetley and Nitin Gadkari have been mentioned as having approved his candidature.
The lyrics say, Modi will change the face of India. One song starts with: "PM banegaa Narendra Modi, Number one ho India hamara..Desh badlega Narendra Modi".
Another lyric says: "Saari BJP par chadha Modi ka rang.."
In one song, Modi is described as Dabangg, Sher, Hanuman, etc.
JD(U) had given BJP time till December to decide about its prime ministerial aspirant, but this CD is causing disquiet in the party rank and file.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is presently on his Seva Yatra in Bihar, and Modi posters have begun appearing near his meetings.
Says Giriraj Singh:"Nobody has the right to stop us from eulogizing our leader."
The singer had posted some of his songs from the album on YouTube and had gifted a CD to Modi personally.
