Patna/Pune/New Delhi, Aug 8:  Not a single minister from Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar's cabinet was present at Patna airport on Wednesday night to receive the bodies of four martyrs of 21 Bihar Regiment killed by Pak army on the Line of Control in Poonch sector.

Former deputy chief minister and BJP leader Sushil Kumar, BJP leader Giriraj Singh and other party leaders were present at the airport.

The Indian Air Force plane landed at Patna with the coffins of four martyrs - Shambhu Sharan Rai, Vijay Kumar Rai, Prem Nath Singh and Raghunandan Prasad.

The bodies were later taken to the villages of the martyr jawans in Chhapra, Aara and Bihta.

Another IAF plane arrived at Pune airforce station on Wednesday carrying the body of Lance Naik Pundalik Mane, martyred near the LoC by Pakistani soldiers.

After a farewell salute from Southern Command and Air Force officials, the body was taken to Mane's village Pimpalgaon near Kolhapur.

State funerals will be accorded to all the five martyr jawans.

Meanwhile, the sole surviving soldier in the Jammu and Kashmir ambush was Wednesday brought to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences  in Delhi and was in an "extremely critical" condition, hospital authorities said.

Lance Naik Sambhaji Kutte was flown to New Delhi and was now in the intensive care unit, trauma centre chief M.C. Misra told IANS.
