New Delhi: Admin and author of a popular Twitter handle @aapCh***yeHain, Akhil Mehta, reportedly, committed suicide due to depression.

The twitter handle was widely known and its author highly appreciated for his witty humor and criticism on the social media platform. It had over 51 thousand followers. The twitter handle described Mehta as a proud Indian achieving ‘World peace through Insult comedy'.

Mehta regularly received threats from "several political and religious groups for criticizing them" through his tweets as he was passionately against corruption, hypocrisy and disclosed any injustices done in society as he came to know about them.

Tributes poured in for Akhil as news of his demise spread on social media through a Facebook page which was created when he went missing. A post on the page stated that he had died.

The FB page was titled as Finding Akhil Mehta, and the post on it said, "It's extremely heartbreaking for us to say that, Akhil is no more with us. It's very unfortunate to have lost him at such a young age, allegedly, to depression. Our deepest sympathies go out to his family and friends. May God give them comfort and peace in this difficult time and his soul may rest in peace."

The Facebook page was created to find Mehta after his disappearance. The 27-year-old was last seen at Vijay Nagar, New Delhi on March 27.

The Finding Akhil Mehta page revealed through a post that the likers of the page even feared that he might have been kidnapped.

However, on March 28, the Business Standard reported that an "unidentified male" committed suicide by jumping from a high rise water tank in Tronica City, Ghaziabad which later on came to be identified as Akhil.

Reportedly, no one knew Akhil at the place where he committed suicide so his body was cremated on 31st March as unidentified. Later his parents matched the photographs of his with the dead body and the news was confirmed that the deceased was Akhil.

After the discovery, the Finding Akhil Mehta page confirmed the "unidentified male" was in fact Mehta.
