Japanese PM Shinzo Abe, who is on a two-day trip to Gujarat's Ahmedabad, might try his hand at Gujarati delicacies during a dinner tonight at Ahmedabad's famous Agashiye terrace restaurant.
'Handvo' will be the star of the Gujarati thali dinner that will be served to PM Narendra Modi's Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe and his wife Akie tonight. The all-vegetarian thali on Abe's platter will also include kichdi kadi. Apart from this, Japanese items and fushion dishes like Sushi Dhokla and Sushi Kichdi will also be offered to the couple and other officials.
If reports are to believed, the dinner has been prepared by a team from Taj Group in collaboration with the restaurant chefs.
Japan PM Shinzo Abe is on an official trip to India. His two-day visit includes the laying of foundation stone for India's first bullet train project between Ahmedabad and Mumbai.
