New Delhi, April 9: GlaxoSmithkline Consumer Healthcare Ltd said on Tuesday that its chairman, Simon Scarff, has expressed his wish to step down from April 30, 2013.
"Simon Scarff...has expressed his desire to step down as the chairman of the company with effect from close of business hours on April 30, 2013," GSK Consumer Healthcare said in a filing to the BSE.
Mr Scarff has expressed the desire during the company's board meeting held on Tuesday.
The company markets various brands in India including Horlics and Crocin.
Headquartered in UK, GSK has over 1 lakh employees worldwide, including 35 thousand employees at 85 manufacturing facilities across the globe.
GSK Consumer Healthcare stock, on Tuesday, closed at Rs. 4,064.30 on the BSE, down 3.02 per cent from its previous close.
