Vande Bharat news: In yet another incident of stone pelting on Vande Bharat Express, the Gorakhpur-Lucknow semi-high-speed train was targeted by unidentified miscreants in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday. The Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express runs six days a week, barring Saturdays, with a little over 550 passengers.
According to reports, four window panes of coach number C1, C3 and executive coach were shattered due to stone pelting. No casualties reported.
At least, seven such stone pelting incidents have been reported in the past on different routes. Recently, stones were pelted on Bengaluru-Dharwad Vande Bharat Express between Kadur-Birur section in Chikkamagalaru district of Karnataka on July 5.
The stones hit the glasses of C5 coach at seats No. 43 and 44 and EC-1 coach toilet. Due to the incident, the outer glass was damaged. However, no one was injured.
