Deccan Queen: India's first deluxe train completes 92 yrs | Pics
India | Jun 02, 2022, 10:53 AM ISTOn 1st June 1930, the first deluxe train between Mumbai & Pune began its journey. Railways has decided to replace conventional coaches of Deccan Queen Express with LHB coaches which will now run on 22.06.2022 from CSMT & 23.06.2022 from Pune.

Coming soon: World-class railway stations at Gandhinagar, Habibganj
India | Feb 05, 2020, 07:21 PM ISTIndian Railways has set the ball rolling for a massive restructuring of some major railway stations in India. The work for a congestion-free entry/exit at Bhopal's Habibganj and Gandhinagar (Gujarat) is already at an advanced stage, Ministery of Railways has said. Tenders for a complete overhaul of Gomtinagar, Anand Vihar, Bijwasan and Chandigarh railway station will also be floated soon.

150 private trains on 100 routes: Niti Aayog proposes ₹ 22,500 crore plan

The discussion paper titled 'Private Participation: Passenger Trains' has identified 100 routes, including Mumbai Central-New Delhi, New Delhi- Patna, Allahabad-Pune and Dadar-Vadodara.
