Talking about Omerta, Rajkummar earlier stated that as the film exposes dark reality, it can be a disturbing watch for some viewers.
The "Aligarh" director says the film would have revolved around the veteran superstar Sridevi.
Sridevi was last seen in Mom in 2017.
Omerta is based on the life of a British terrorist of Pakistani descent Ahmed Omar Saeed.
Mehta claimed he was trolled after "Newton" was ousted from the Best Foreign Language Film category at the Oscars 2018.
