At poll rally, MK Stalin promises pumpsets for 20 lakh farmers, paddy procurement at Rs 3,500 per quintal

MK Stalin said soon after the DMK forms the government in the state, big ticket library, TIDEL park, Olympic Academy will be unveiled in Tiruchi region. He also added that Tiruchirappalli is being developed on par with capital city Chennai.

DMK chief and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Wednesday kickstarted election campaign in Tiruchirappalli and promised pumpsets for 20 lakh farmers. He said paddy to be procured at Rs 3,500 per quintal, if DMK retains power. He assured Rs 8,000 worth coupon for women to purchase home appliances of their choice at shops they prefer. CM Stalin sought votes for nominees fielded in the region. He listed schemes implemented in Tiruchi region by DMK government and outlined mini-stadiums, schools, drinking water initiatives.

He said soon after the DMK forms the government in the state, big ticket library, TIDEL park, Olympic Academy will be unveiled in Tiruchi region. He also added that Tiruchirappalli is being developed on par with capital city Chennai.

Stalin says, "We do what we say, and we say what we do. I am the son of Karunanidhi. The AIADMK, which was in power for 10 years, pushed Tamil Nadu into decline. The BJP has not provided any funds to Tamil Nadu. Edappadi Palaniswami ran the government only to award contracts to his relatives."

Tamil Nadu has no caste riots: Stalin 

At the DMK rally in Tiruchi, CM Stalin said his regime successfully implemented assurances including fare-free travel for women in buses. Saying that Tamil Nadu has no caste riots, he said the communal violence is seen in BJP-ruled states. Jhe said the mob violence was seen in UP, or continued violence in Manipur.

Stalin says, "There are no caste clashes in Tamil Nadu, no communal riots like in BJP-ruled states, no mob violence like in Uttar Pradesh, and no continuous unrest like in Manipur. We have also thwarted the conspiracies of the BJP to create such situations here. It is because of the peaceful environment and effective governance under our rule that investments are steadily flowing into Tamil Nadu. We have released a detailed action plan and election manifesto to support this. All the announcements I have made will be fulfilled in the coming days."

Stalin says 9 lakh students receive Rs 1,000 per month for higher education

At Tiruchirappalli rally, CM Stalin listed welfare schemes and said 9 lakh students receive Rs 1,000 per month for higher education.

Stalin says, "Over the past five years, welfare schemes worth Rs 26,000 crores have been implemented for the benefit of the people of Tiruchirappalli. Therefore, I have come to seek your vote with rightful confidence. Other states have begun implementing schemes like the Women’s Rights Allowance after seeing ours. We are also providing a nutritious breakfast scheme for students. The “Naan Mudhalvan” scheme is also being implemented successfully."
