Barbados, Jamaica: West Indies opener Chris Gayle will miss the ODI series against England due to a back problem.
West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) said, Dwayne Smith has been called up as replacement for the three ODIs against England in Antigua.
Gayle, 34, suffered a stiff lower back after the first T20 against Ireland on Wednesday. He did not play in Friday´s second game.
He will undergo treatment in Jamaica. The ODI series against England begins on February 28 to be followed by three Twenty20 matches in Barbados.
