IPL 2018 HIGHLIGHTS ONLINE - RR vs RSH

Sunrisers Hyderabad bowlers' impressive defense of modest totals continued as the visitors pulled off an 11-run win over Rajasthan Royals on a tricky pitch to claim the top spot in the Indian Premier League (IPL) in Jaipur on Sunday. Electing to bat, Hyderabad posted 151 for seven, built around captain Kane Williamson's 63-run knock, his fourth fifty of the season, and his 92-run partnership with Englishman Alex Hales (45) , playing his first game of this edition. They set up the platform for a kill towards the end, but once they were dismissed, none of the following batsmen could make a substantial contribution. (SCORECARD)

17.45 IST: Rajasthan will be extremely pleased with their effort. Gowtham was excellent in the Powerplay to begin with while Archer stole the show at the death. The surface is a bit two-paced and we all know, Hyderabad bowlers have pulled off two back-to-back wins defending a way below par total. Can they make in three in a row? Or will it be a stroll in the park for the hosts? Join us back shortly...

17.22 IST: Yusuf Pathan is in next.

17.21 IST: OUT! Jofra Archer removes Shakib for 6. Jafffaaaaaa Archer! This is lethal death bowling from him. 17.08 IST: Shakib Al Hasan is the new man in.

17.07 IST: OUT! Sodhi removes Williamson for 63. The decision stands! The Snicko shows a bit of spike and Kane Williamson will have to walk back. Ish Sodhi removes his international team's skipper as he bags his maiden Indian T20 League wicket. Slips in the googly, it turns back in from a length and also stays a touch low. Kane tries to cut and it goes through to Buttler who pouches it extremely low. Lovely take and they all go up in an appeal. Umpire S Ravi raises his finger. Williamson walks across and has a word with Pandey before opting for the DRS. Replays show there was a bit of wood involved and that will be it for the Hyderabad skipper today. Timely breakthrough for the hosts! Sunrisers Hyderabad 116/3 in 14.5 overs vs Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur.

17.01 IST: Manish Pandey is in next.

17.00 IST: OUT! Gowtham removes Hales for 45. Gowtham comes and breaks the 92-run stand that was taking the game away! Bowls it slower through the air and serves it a bit wider outside off, Hales comes down the track and has to reach out for that one. Ends up slicing it in the air towards backward point where Sanju Samson accepts an easy catch. A very uncharacteristic knock by him comes to an end. However, he played a handy role in the partnership. Sunrisers Hyderabad 109/2 in 13.3 overs vs Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur

16.57 IST: SIX! Ahhhhhh... pure class! Fuller delivery, arrowed in on off, Williamson with all the timing in the world, lifts it over long off for half a dozen.

16.54 IST: FIFTY! Kane Williamson hits his 7th IPL half-century off 32 balls. Jaydev Unadkat to Kane Williamson, 1 run. That's fifty for Kane Williamson! He's in some red hot form and continues to flourish! Remember, he was given an early life when he was on 11 and he's making the most of it. Works this length delivery through mid-wicket and scampers through to the other end. Huge over for Hyderabad as 21 came off it. Sunrisers Hyderabad 99/1 in 12 overs vs Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur.

16.52 IST: FOUR! Edged and away! There is no slip and Williamson is on a roll here. On a length, slightly wider on off, Kane goes hard at it and it takes the thick outside edge which flies through the vacant slip cordon and runs down to the third man fence. Move on to 49 with that.

16.50 IST: FOUR! Smart! Back of a length delivery, angling away, Williamson shuffles across and paddles it over the keeper for a boundary towards fine leg.

16.48 IST: FOUR! What was a good over turns out to be a poor one. Lomror drops it short on middle, Alex quickly rocks back and pulls it towards deep square leg to end the over with a boundary. The partnership is swelling nicely for the visitors. SRH 78/1 in 11 overs.

16.43 IST: FOUR! Pummeled! Short of a length delivery on middle, Hales rides the bounce, swivels a bit and nails the pull between square leg and fine leg for a boundary. This also brings up the 50-run stand between the two.

16.39 IST: FOUR! A boundary to conclude the ninth over. Good end to the over for Hyderabad. This is a flighted ball outside off, it is a little too full. Williamson reaches out for it and goes over covers for a boundary. So once again, Sodhi's over ends with a boundary. SRH 63/1 in 9 overs.

16.30 IST: FOUR! Poor ball and is dispatched! Short and on middle, Kane is quick to rock back and pull it through mid-wicket for a boundary.

16.19 IST: Williamson EDGED BUT DROPPED! A chance goes abegging. Tripathi is the culprit. This is on a length around off, it shapes away a touch. Williamson tries to defend but gets an outside edge which goes towards first slip. Tripathi there dives to his right but fails to hang on. How costly will this prove? Williamson is the man in-form, not someone you want to be dropping.

16.18 IST: FOUR! Beautiful! Not a bad delivery but such is the class of Williamson that he puts that away. This is fuller and on middle, Kane shows the full face of the bat and drives it through mid on for a boundary. SRH 31/1 in 4.2 overs.

16.14 IST: FOUR! Not learning is Dhawal here. He once again is on the shorter side. This time there is also width on offer. Williamson cashes it on it and cuts it through point for a boundary.

16.11 IST: Kane Williamson is the next man in.

16.10 IST: OUT! Gowtham removes Dhawan for 6. CHOPPED ON! Gowtham draws first blood. Dhawan was unsure whether to play the sweep shot or to cut it and that brings about his downfall. Gowtham from around the wicket fries it around off. Dhawan first thinks about sweeping it but seeing the line he tries to cut. However, even that shot was not on as the ball was too close to the off pole. In the end he ends up getting an inside edge onto the stumps. So an early wicket for Rajasthan. Just the start they needed. Sunrisers Hyderabad 17/1 in 2.1 overs vs Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur.

16.08 IST: FOUR! Good ball but a boundary results. Not a good start for Kulkarni. He bowls it very full on middle, it shapes back in late. Dhawan somehow flicks it through square leg and the ball races away for the third boundary from the over.

16.06 IST: FOUR! Second in the over! Kulkarni is bowling to Hales' strength here. Once again he is on the shorter side. It sits up to be hit. Hales rocks back and pulls it through mid-wicket.

16.00 IST: We are all set for the action to begin. Out come the Rajasthan players with the umpires. The two Hyderabad openers, Shikhar Dhawan and Alex Hales follow them. A new opening pair for the visitors and they will hope for them to provide a good start.
