Why Mayawati, Jayalalithaa avoid female Black Cat commandos?

New Delhi: The NSG is in a fix as its women commandos are not being considered as efficient as their male counterparts. And hold on, the vote of no-confidence has come from none other than women themselves. Last year, NSG had raised a 25-member-strong women commando squad with a view to provide security to women VIPs. These commandos were supposed to be deployed in security of high profile female politicians like Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa and BSP supremo Mayawati. It was assumed that these women VIPs will be more comfortable with female commandos than male commandos. But the calculations of NSG has gone horribly wrong. Mayawati had outrightly refused to take their services initially but she relented after the issue became media headlines. Mayawati agreed for a combination of male and female commandos to be deployed in her security but she has very cleverly found out a way of showing the female commandos their place. Nowadays Mayawati takes out women black cat commandos only for events and functions that are held in the close vicinity of her residence. Whenever she has to move out to a distant location, she still trusts her male black cat commandos only. If NSG officers are to be believed Mayawati never takes female commandoes Whenever she ventures out of Lucknow. The protocol says that security detail is decided by the agency providing security but political compulsions often force the incumbent government to accommodate preferences of VIPs. Same is the case with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa. Like Mayawati, Jayalalithaa has also refused to include woman commandos in her security. And unlike mayawati, Jaya has not given any face saving formula either, like a mix of male and female NSG guards to be deployed in her security, to NSG bosses who boasted of the top class training imparted to these women commandos. NSG top brass says that their women black cat commandos have undergone same tough training that is given to their male counterparts and that they are not a shred less efficient than male commandos. But their problem now is that they do not know how to use their much hyped women black cat commandos. As the old adage goes- women are their own biggest enemies. So can we conclude that both Mayawati and Jayalalithaa, who are so eloquent about women empowerment in their public speeches , are trying to prove this age old belief right in twenty first century that is bracing to ensure gender equality in every nook and corner of society?Let's have alook at the black cat security cover provided to Mayawati and Jayalalithaa:
