She alleged the BJP government did not use Central funds sent for the upliftment of women, children and tribals. "These people have betrayed you, but now they are making tall claims", she added.
The Congress chief promised 35 kg free foodgrains to families who do not pay Income Tax, power at subsidized rates, Rs 5 lakhs to next of kin of those killed by Maoists.
In Bhilai, she said, unemployment in Chhattisgarh was on the rise, and women and children are being deprived of benefits under Central schemes.
