Hailing from the shepherd community, Siddaramiah was born in a village near Mysore. He completed his B.Sc as well as his law degree from Mysore University.
Married to Parvathi, Siddaramiah has two sons Rakesh and Yathindra. Rakesh has laid his hands on acting and Yathindra is a doctor by profession.
