Kolkata: BJP state president Rahul Sinha has requested Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh to inquire into reports claiming funds of Saradha ponzi scheme scam has been used to fund terror in Bangladesh against India.
“We have recently seen various media reports that money from Saradha chit fund was used to fund terror in Bangladesh and for anti-India activities. It is a matter of national interest and security. So we have requested Rajanathji to inquire into the matter whether Saradha funds were really used to fund terror,” Sinha told reporters here today. Sinha refuted allegations by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee that BJP was carrying on a vilification campaign against Trinamool Congress.
“This is totally a wrong allegation that we are carrying on a vilification campaign against Mamata Banerjee. I challenge them (TMC) to prove this allegation. Whatever has been said has been said by their party MP Kunal Ghosh,” he added.
