New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today travelled by Delhi Metro from Dhaula Kuan to Dwarka.
The motive was to take a stock of difficulties commuters face and also to avoid inconvenience to the public on the route because of the security arrangements.
"Sreedharan ji would always tell me to experience the Delhi Metro. Today I had the opportunity to do so on the way to Dwarka," the Prime Minister tweeted.
"Really enjoyed the ride. Thanks Delhi Metro. Thanks Sreedharan ji!" the PM said in another tweet.
The PM boarded Metro at Dhaula Kuan and deboarded it at Dwarka station.
He was accompanied by NSA Ajit Doval during his brief journey. The Prime Minister will be attending a function of the National Intelligence Academy in Dwarka.
