Mahbubnagar (AP): Rahul Gandhi addressed a rally in Mahbubnagar , which now lies in the Telangana region on Monday. He reiterated his stand that Telangana could have never been formed had it not been for the Congress party and Sonia Gandhi's sincere effort. Rahul vouched that if Congress party forms the next government again there would be no poor person in Telangana who wouldn't have shelter. He said that rather than using commodities produced in China, the youth of Telangana would innovate and manufacture gadgets and goods made in the state itself. This would help Telangana develop and create a brand image. Rahul accused TRS of being hungry for power. He lashed out at the party, saying that it failed to fulfill any of its promises so far and would forget about its people too. If you want big dreams to come true, then vote for Congress party. Small dreams are useless and waster of energy. 4:07 pm: Rahul: When someone purchases camera or phone abroad it will be written made in Telangana. Congress brought computers to India. Only Congress can fulfill your dreams. We are making industrial corridors, roads, railways. Only congress can do that. 4:05 pm: Rahul: You wear commodities that are made in China. Indians do not make them. They buy but not make. We hope for the day when commodities will be labeled as made in Telangana, made in India. 4:04 pm: Rahul: We will open 400 police stations for only women so that women feel secure. Some times back you requested that 9 gas cylinders were not enough then Sonia Gandhi agreed to give 12 cylinders.4:02 pm: Rahul: Women are the strength of Telangana. We had proposed 33% reservation for women in parliament. Opposition prevented us. When we come to power again we will ensure that the bill is passed. A rich man has all amenities. Poor people lack that. We are going to provide housing facility to all the people. When Congress comes to power you will not come across any poor person in Telangana who does not have shelter. Earlier free medicines were given and lakhs of people benefited. We wanted to arrange ways through which medicines can be given every poor person across the nation 3;55 pm: Rahul: We have also pulled 15 crore people out of poverty. This is the first time this has happened.How did this happen? We were able to achieve this by giving the right to all the people. Through MNREGA farmers have benefited. We introduced Right to education to poor children. But if you have to make strong state then you need a far sighted government. Congress knows how to run a nation and state. 3:37 pm: Rahul: They said that a dalit would be the first Chief Minister of Telangana.
