Most handsome MPs in 16th Lok Sabha

New Delhi: When the word politician strikes our mind, we automatically visualize stereotyped images of men in ‘white kurtas' and ‘Nehruvian jackets'. But now times have changed and some of our male politicians could give Bollywood stars a run for money as far as good looks is concerned.It's not all about goods looks. Our young politicians carry a style and could be called trend setters. Most of them are vocal in Parliamentary debates and follow their stream of thoughts.Here we are compiling a list of MPs belonging to 16th Lok Sabha who can be easily termed as handsome, a virtue that is a bit rare in our parliament:Chirag Paswan: He definitely does not need to work hard to attract attention. His magnetism is apparent from an all round perspective. Chirag Paswan is a member of Lok Janshakti Party and is the son of Ramvilas Paswan. He won from Jamui Lok Sabha seat in the 16th Lok Sabha elections. Chirag Paswan tried his luck in Bollywood but he realized very soon that he was actually made for politics.Chirag Paswan has acted in Miley Na Miley Hum Of Tanveer Khan opposite Kangna Ranaut. This movie was a complete flop and eventually Chirag's career in Bollywood also came to an end. He also performed an item song with TV Star Shweta Tiwari in this film.Adhikari Deepak (Dev): This charming young man could steal hearts by his innocent looks and smile. He is a Bengali film actor, producer, entertainer, and singer. Recently he contested the Lok Sabha Elections on Trinamool Congress ticket and won.Adhikari Deepak contested from Ghatal constituency in West Bengal and won by a margin of 2,60,891 votes against his rival Santosh Rana of CPI.Dev is a superstar and one of the highest paid actors of Tollywood (West Bengal cinema).Adhikari Deepak is one of the richest celebrities in West Bengal. Dev started his career in films as an observer on the set of Abbas Mustan's film- Tarzan: The Wonder Car.Rahul Gandhi: Congress party's Vice president may have been a disappointment in politics but he, for sure, is still considered the most eligible bachelor of Indian politics. His perfect dimples do all the magic. Of course he gets these beautiful looks from his mom (Sonia Gandhi) and dad (Rajiv Gandhi).Rahul Gandhi has got all the attention of media and fanfare since his birth as he is the “Son” of India's first political family. Gandhi is generally seen in white kurta (an unsaid dress code of ‘netas') and jeans. This combination of semi – formal dressing with snickers makes him look debonair.Shashi Tharoor: Shashi Tharoor is a well known author and politician. Moreover he is also an eye – candy for young girls. His intellect and good looks combine to make him a complete man. Shashi Tharoor and his beautiful wife Sunanda (who past away last year) were often spotted admiring each other in public.This approach may have been criticized by certain sections of the society but the youth always admired the pair. Shashi Tharoor is currently MP from Thiruvananthpuram Lok Sabha constituency in Kerala. Sophistication defines his personality. Shashi Tharoor is often called George Clooney of Indian politics.Shashi Tharoor has a tinge of accent that adds color to his overall personality.Gaurav Gogoi: Gaurav Gogoi is an engineer turned politician. This young man hails from Assam and is the son of Assam's Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi. Gaurav Gogoi is quite a fresh face in Indian politics and is presently MP from Kaliabor constituency in Assam.People may have criticized him for adding to the list of political dynasty in India, but Gaurav Gogoi desires to ‘chart out his own identity'. He wants to start from the grassroots. Gaurav Gogoi mentioned in one of his interviews to the media that he does not like the term ‘joining politics' because everyone practices politics in their respective spheres of life. He said that he would want to join ‘governance' rather than politics.Jyotiraditya Scindia: He is a politician and titular head of Gwalior State. Jyotiraditya Scindia is quite a trend setter. He manages to attract masses with his persona. He is one of the wealthiest politicians of India.Jyotiraditya Scindia studied Economics at Harvard University and then went on to pursue MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.Jyotiraditya Scindia is married to Priyadarshini Scindia. The couple is well – matched when it comes to beauty. Priyadarshini appeared in Verve's "Best dressed - 2008" hall of fame list. In 2012, she was included in the "India's 50 Most Beautiful Women" list by Femina.Kalikesh Singh Deo: He is handsome and well – spoken. He is from a royal decent and represents conventional politicians. He can look dandy even in a crisp white kutra- pyjama. Kalikesh was on the cover page of one of the editions of vogue magazine. He is the leader of BJD.Kalikesh Deo attended the Doon School, Dehradun and graduated in Economics from St. Stephen's College. He hails from the royal family of Bolangir.Kalikesh spent his initial career working in investment banking and with the energy giant, Enron and later switched to politics.He was one of the speakers at the UN Peace Conference in Bangkok and UN HIV AIDS conference in Bali.Deepender Singh Hooda: He is the son of Bhupinder Singh Hooda, CM of Haryana. Deepender Singh Hooda has twice served as a member of parliament in India and in 16th Lok Sabha, he represents the Rohtak constituency of Haryana. He is the third generation of his family who represented Haryana in Lok Sabha.Deepender joined politics right after he had completed his MBA from Indiana University in the US. This young man is also a member of the Council of IITs.He was elected Vice Chairman of Indian Red Cross. Deepender Singh Hooda was a good student. He was awarded honorary “Beta Gamma Sigma” (top 1% of class) at Indiana University. ”Anurag Singh Thakur is MP from Hamirpur constituency in Himachal. This dashing young man of BJP has always been under scrutiny. He is listed as one of those politicians with maximum number of criminal cases pending against him. He may or may not be convicted of those crimes but as far as his style and looks are concerned, he surely is a killer.Anurag was a cricketer before he joined politics. He is the son of former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal.He is a sports lover. In his younger years he was a promising sportsman.At the age of 25 he was made the President of Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA).Babul Supriyo: He is MP from Ansansol, West Bengal. Babul is a playback singer and actor. He has acted in several Bengali and Oriya cinema. He was declared a BJP Candidate from Asansol in West Bengal for the Indian general election, 2014 and won by over 74,000 votes.Babul Supriyo has been quick in switching his careers. He kicked off as a banker in Standard Chartered Bank. But he wanted to do something ‘off-beat'. So he left the job to fulfill his dream of becoming a playback singer.Babul Supriyo has lent his voice in a number of films. Apart from singing, Babul Supriyo has acted in several films too.Raghav Lakhanpal Sharma: is a product of the prestigious Doon School. He is a BJP member of the 16th Lok Sabha from Saharanpur constituency in UP. He is also the vice president of BJP's youth wing BJYM.He joined politics after his father Nirbhay Pal Sharma's death. Nirbhay Pal was a popular politician of Saharanpur who was brutally murdered. His murderers were armed with 0.38 bore pistols.He was killed when the assassins managed to break through the main gate and sprayed over two dozen bullets into his body while Sharma tried to defend himself with his double barrel gun.His death came as a major blow for BJP in Saharanpur and they eventually looked to Raghav Lakhanpal to replace his father.He contested the by- elections and won back his father's seat in 2000 and became MLA of Saharanpur. Rahul Kaswan: is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party and has won the 2014 Indian general elections from the Churu constituency in Rajasthan.Rahul Kaswan has done PG diploma in Marketing. His main business is mining.Rahul is a fitness freak. One of his favorite sports is Basketball. Rahul loves to walk. He enjoys listening to Hindi songs while on his morning walks. He also enjoys long drives.He gives credit for his victory in the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections to his father, Ram Singh Kaswan who is also a politician. Rahul's ideal is Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He gets inspired by Modi's energy and innovative ideas.Manoj Tiwari: Manoj Tiwari is an actor-turned politician. He is superstar of Bhojpuri film industry. In 2014 Lok Sabha elections, he has won from North East Delhi constituency. North East Delhi is dominated by people from Bihar, hence Manoj Tiwari's charisma and Modi wave did the trick.Manoj Tiwari is a cricket fan and plays the sport himself. He is a prominent Bhojpuri actor. Manoj Tiwari had also contested Lok Sabha Elections in 2009 from Gorakhpur on Samajwadi Party ticket. But he lost to BJP's Adityanath Yogi that time. This time, he surged ahead of both AAP and Congress candidates and won by a margin of over one lakh votes.
