Govt troubling people wanting to join BJP, says Rajnath Singh

However, he refused to comment when asked if the former Army chief was joining BJP in the near future.

Under attack over the purported activities of the Technical Support Division set up by him, Gen Singh has termed as “motivated” the charges against him.  

After media carried reports that the Technical Support Division (TSD) set up during his tenure had attempted to destabilise the Omar Abdullah government in Jammu and Kashmir, the ex-Army chief had dubbed the allegations as “most absurd'.

Commenting on his scheduled meeting with the President on the riots in Muzaffarnagar, Rajnath Singh said, “Because of the series of riots that are taking place in Uttar Pradesh, the whole state is in the grip of fear. In that connection, I am meeting the President.”
