
Rajnath Singh - M.Sc. (Physics)
Rajnath Singh is the president of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He is also the Union Minister for Home Affairs in Narendra Modi government.
He previously served as the Chief Minister of the state of Uttar Pradesh from 28 October 2000 to 8 March 2002 and was also a Cabinet Minister in the Vajpayee Government.
He began his career as a physics lecturer and has been a member of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) since his childhood days.
Rajnath Singh was born to Ram Badan Singh and Gujarati Devi on 10 July 1951 in the small village of Bhabhaura in Chandauli district of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
