Ayodhya: Alleging that all parties, including BJP, have adopted a "Muslim appeasement" policy as no leader has come to pay obeisance to 'Ram Lala', former Chief Minister Kalyan Singh today said construction of temple here is a matter of faith for Hindus and is not under court's purview.

"Construction of temple is a matter of faith for crores of Hindus and it does not come under the purview of court. Ultimately, the decision of court will not be acceptable to both the Hindus and Muslims," Singh, the founder of Jan Kranti Party, told reporters here. "All parties, including BJP, have adopted a Muslim appeasement policy due to which their leaders are shying away from paying obeisance to 'Ram Lala'.

"SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav is not coming here as he does not want Muslims to be angry with him. In BSP, there is terror of Mayawati due to which its leaders are not coming here. Congress too is afraid of Muslims and appeasing them," Singh alleged. Taking a pot-shot at his former party, BJP, Singh alleged it had deviated from issues like common civil code and Ram temple construction and was "befooling" Hindus.

For construction of the temple, there should be a non-political campaign and attempts be made to instill a feeling of 'Rastravad' (nationalism) in people, he said.

On his motive behind coming here, Singh said that he came to worship Lord Ram, meet sadhu and saints and to ask them whether they had any plans for construction of temple. "I assured them all help for the temple's construction," he said. Demanding Centre's intervention in the matter, he said a bill should be enacted in Parliament in this regard.

Earlier, Singh reached circuit house here and paid obeisance to the 'Ram Lala' after the district administration allowed him in small groups.

Before leaving for Ayodhya, Singh had told reporters in Lucknow that there was no chance of an amicable solution on Ayodhya title suit as neither Hindus nor Muslims would agree to it.

"The Hindus are committed for construction of Ram temple and whatever is being done is just a timepass. At this stage, there is no chance of an amicable solution...," he had said. PTI
