New Delhi, Aug 14: BJP MP and top criminal lawyer Ram Jethmalani today told Ramdev supporters here that if the Congress lost the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, he would ensure that half of the Union ministers would be behind bars within a year.

Addressing Ramdev's supporters at Ambedkar Stadium on the sixth day of the yoga guru's agitation, Jethmalani said, if the current wave of protests against corruption continue, the UPA government would collapse in 2013, a year before the general elections.

Jethmalani alleged that the Centre had been withholding the list of Indians having offshore black money despite Supreme Court's directive for the last two years.

The BJP MP alleged that Rahul Gandhi's name was in the list, though Congress leaders later immediately responded saying the charge was baseless.

"I can tell you that the names of nearly half the Union ministers are there in the list. There are names of several Congress bigwigs in the list ", said Jethmalani.

"If the Congress loses power, I promise that I will haul these politicians to court", said Jethmalani.

The criminal lawyer said the amount of offshore black money stashed by Indian nationals ranged up to Rs 600 crore crores.

If we get this money back, we don't need to tax our citizens for the next 20 years, and each Indian family may get up to Rs 3 lakhs, said Jethmalani.
