Patel said that he is confident of garnering considerable support from his ‘Kurmi' community and is also betting on his ‘young and fresh' image.
Coming from a humble background, Patel is also banking on his party and Rahul's assurance for all “moral and financial support”.
However, he is being termed as an ‘outsider' by his opponents as he comes from to Gonda district.
He counters these charges by saying that if voters in neighbouring Varanasi can accept Modi or Aam Aadmi Party's Arvind Kejriwal, then he should also not be singled out as he has been fielded by the country's oldest party.
