Bhubaneswar: With CBI reportedly contemplating questioning Naveen Patnaik in coalgate, the Odisha CM has defended the letter that he had written for Hindalco when the Aditya Birla Company application seeking the coal block was rejected in 2005.
Patnaik told reporters here he wrote the letter Aug 17, 2005 keeping the best interests of the state in mind.
