Chandrababu has already announced that he will operate from the new state only and not Hyderabad, though the city will remain the common capital of AP and Telangana post bifurcation.

He is expected to set up his office temporarily in the Acharya Nagarjuna University campus between Vijayawada and Guntur, given its easy accessibility from various parts of the state.

However, part of the new state government's functioning will also continue from the Secretariat in Hyderabad since relocating the staff en masse will be a difficult exercise due to lack of infrastructure.
