Kolkata: Continuing its relentless attack on the West Bengal's ruling Trinamool Congress over the Oct 2 Burdwan blast, the BJP Friday said the party was now busy hiding bombs.

Accusing the Trinamool of being hand in glove with Bangladeshi fundamentalist outfit Jamaat-e-Islami, Bharatiya Janata Party national secretary Siddharth Nath Singh , and lashed out at the Mamata Banerjee led government over "rampant corruption" including the Saradha scam.

"Every day we are hearing bombs are being discovered or exploding in houses of Trinamool leaders. The Trinamool, which was busy hiding the Saradha money, is now engrossed hiding Jamaat's bombs," Singh said addressing a rally here .

The rally was organised to protest against alleged rampant malpractices by the Kolkata Municipal Corporation as well as other issues including multi-crore rupee Saradha scam.

Referring to the Burdwan blast in which two suspected Bangladeshi militants were killed, Singh questioned how Bangladeshi infiltrators are getting voter cards or the militants getting passport.

With the National Investigation Agency Thursday seizing a cache of handmade bombs from a house near the Burdwan blast site, Singh asked why did the Bengal Police fail to recover them earlier.

"Bengal Police searched the house but found nothing. But NIA, searching the same house, seized bombs and even RDX. Mamata ji please explain why your police could not find the bombs," he asked.

"The Trinamool accuses us of communalisation but this is not a matter of communalism. It concerns the security of the state. It's unfortunate that people who voted Trinamool to hear bursts of happiness are getting to hear bomb explosions," added Singh.

State BJP president Rahul Sinha too went hammer and tongs at the Banerjee government.

"They had gone on a foreign trip to invite industry but the only industry that is flourishing in Bengal is bomb making. Bengal has left behind the entire country in bomb making," said Sinha, refering to Banerjee's recent Singapore tour.
