Buenos Aires: Argentina will strengthen its health care system to deal with possible cases of Ebola, Deputy Health Minister Jaime Lazovsk said on Thursday.

The ministry will focus on training personnel, buying quarantine equipment and preparing protocols for dealing with the disease, Xinhua reported.

Lazovsk said that the main aim is for there will be a hospital in each province ready to deal with Ebola cases, at least during the first 24 hours after the disease is detected.

So far, just three hospitals around the country are prepared to treat the disease.

However, after the cases that surfaced in Spain and the US, the ministry decided that it is necessary to strengthen the health care system to be able to act with greater efficiency.
