Jammu, Jan 9: Here is the timeline of Indian and Pakistani troops who clashed along the Line of Control in Mendhar sector on Tuesday:
11. 00 a.m: 6 jawans patrol the area in dense fog
11.30 a.m: About 15 Pak soldiers enter Indian territory
11.45 a.m: Pak regular troops attacked two jawans from behind . Both jawans had also bullet injuries. One of the bodies was mutilated.
8.00 p.m: Heavy exchange of fire from both the sides at various posts in Mendhar, 300 k.m from Jammu .
2 a.m: Exchange of fire was still continuing.
