Seoni (MP), Jul 29: A local court has awarded ten years' rigorous imprisonment to a man for raping a five-year-old girl.
The sentence was awarded yesterday by the District and Sessions Judge Durga Dabar to Pitarlal Pardhan (48) for raping a five-year-old girl by luring her to an orchard with a promise of mango under Ari police station area here.
The court also imposed a fine of Rs 2,000 on him.
In another case, the same court awarded five years' rigorous imprisonment to Sanjay Javre on the charge of attempt to rape a five-year-old girl in an under-construction building in Ganganagar area of the town.
