Panihati(WB): In an apparent reference to BJP, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today accused the party of “inciting violence between communities” saying instead of raising voice against the neglect of the state by the Centre, they were talking of driving Bengalis away.

She also attacked BJP's prime ministerial candidate for his remark that Bangladeshi immigrants would be sent packing after the Lok Sabha elections and slammed him for terming as refugees those who have come from that country and got citizenship here.

“Instead of raising voice against the neglect by Centre for Bengal, they are talking of driving Bengalis away... Some parties are inciting violence between communities. This is the nadir of politics,” Banerjee told an election meeting here in North 24 Parganas district.

She alleged that Modi does not know who is called “refugee”.

“Those who have come here from Bangladesh and got citizenship they are being called refugees ... Comrade Modibabu you do not know who is called refugee,” the Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief said.

“Saying that you will send them with bag and baggages to Bangladesh. Such audacity. Let one be touched and see. They do not not know me.”
