Aizawl: The Congress government led by incumbent Chief Minister Lal Thanhawla has re-assumed the office for the second successive term today.
Lal Thanhawla took the oath as chief minister of Mizoram at 11 am today.
In the November 25 Mizoram Assembly Elections, results of which were declared on Monday, the ruling Congress swept 33 of the 40 seats.
This is the sixth time, including two consecutive terms, that the Congress has come to power here.
