All passengers safe
Upon learning of the situation, the pilot contacted Varanasi Air Traffic Control (ATC) and requested landing permission. The plane safely touched down at Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport at 4:10 pm.

IndiGo flight made emergency landing on October 14
It is worth noting that on October 14, an IndiGo flight headed for Kolkata made an emergency landing at Agartala Airport after just 20 minutes in the air due to a bird strike threat. Agartala Airport Director KC Meena stated that the aircraft sustained no major damage, and all passengers were accommodated on alternative flights. The crew’s quick response in that incident also helped avert a potential disaster.
