The tremor of 3.9 magnitude was recorded at 12.43 pm at a depth of 14.2 km, with its epicentre located 19 km north-northeast (NNE) of Bhachau in Kutch district, an official from the Gandhinagar-based Institute of Seismological Research said. Kutch district is located in a "very high risk seismic zone", as per the state disaster management authority.

Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee chief Sunil Jakhar will hold a meeting of party legislators and district unit presidents on Monday here, ahead of the likely revamp of the state unit. In a statement here on Sunday, Jakhar said in the meeting, all the MLAs and district presidents would pass a resolution stating that whatever decision the party high command takes regarding Punjab, would be acceptable to the entire state unit.
