A tragic accident unfolded in Bihar's Katihar, leaving a trail of devastation as a passenger bus en route from Jharkhand to Siliguri overturned near 31 Kabir Math in the Kursela police station area. The ill-fated journey, which commenced from Gumla in Jharkhand, ended in disaster as the Shivan sleeper passenger coach lost control and toppled into a roadside pit on Monday morning along NH31 Kosi Road Bridge. The calamitous event resulted in the loss of two lives, identified as female passengers, while dozens of other passengers suffered injuries in the ordeal. The injured were promptly transported to PHC Kursela for urgent medical attention.

Tragic incident claims three lives in Sikkim

In a separate tragic incident echoing the sombre tones of loss, Sikkim's Ranipool witnessed a catastrophic collision that claimed the lives of at least three individuals and left 20 others injured. The fatal episode unfolded on Saturday when a milk tanker collided with three stationary cars near a fairground, leading to a catastrophic chain of events. The ghastly incident, captured on video by a local CCTV camera, depicts the horrifying impact as the milk tanker forcefully collided with the parked cars, propelling them into the nearby fairground. The aftermath of the collision left multiple bystanders trapped beneath the wreckage, resulting in severe injuries and untimely deaths.
