The ill-fated journey, which commenced from Gumla in Jharkhand, ended in disaster as the Shivan sleeper passenger coach lost control and toppled into a roadside pit on Monday morning along NH31 Kosi Road Bridge. The calamitous event resulted in the loss of two lives, identified as female passengers, while dozens of other passengers suffered injuries in the ordeal.
