Bangalore: A 31-year-old female dentist Hemavathi Vivekanandan lost her life in her wish to become a mother.
Hemavathi lost her life while undergoing a minor corrective infertility surgery. She died on the operating table.
The incident took place at Trupti Nurisng Home in Basaveshwaranagar area on Monday.
Hemavathi was on medication for over one and a half months after which doctors suggested the corrective laparoscopic surgery, but the surgery took her life.
A medical negligence complaint has been filed by the family with Basaveshwaranagar Police Station against the gynaecologist.
Hemavathi's last rites have already been performed but the exact cause of death is still not known.
