Jodhpur: Incarcerated self-styled godman Asaram Bapu on Wednesday gave discourses to Jodhpur jail inmates both in the morning and evening. The inmates included many of his devotees who were arrested for causing disturbances outside the court complex.
In his discourses, Asaram said 'I am being trapped".
The godman spent his night alone inside the jail dispensary, and was served dry fruits, pomegranate and milk as dinner.
From 9 pm onwards, Asaram converted the dispensary into his solitary cell saying he would carry out "ekantvas" (solitary meditation).
He told his supporters to go and watch TV inside the jail. Some of his supporters told the baba there was only one channel available on the jail TV.
Asaram then became angry and asked them to "go and find out what will happen to me?"
Till 2 am, the baba spent his time chanting Hari Om jaap and then slept.
Asaram woke up at 6 am today when the jail inmates began their daily routine.
Sources said, during his arrest in Indore, Asaram had offered to promote Jodhpur police sub-inspector Satya Prakash to the rank of Circle Officer.
