A civilian was killed on Monday after terrorists opened fire in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The attack took place in Babagund Langate area of Handwara when terrorists indiscriminately fired, critically injuring the civilian. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries on the way.
The victim was identified as Abdul Majid Shah, a resident of Babagund area in Kupwara. Security forces immediately cordoned off the area and launched a manhunt.
Meanwhile, police have registered a case.
