New Delhi: Dreaded terror group ISIS is planning to launch terror attacks in India through its bases in Bangladesh and Pakistan.

According to a report in India Today, Shaykh Abu Ibrahim Al-Hanif, ‘Amir of Khalifah in Bengal’, during an interview with the group’s online magazine Dabiq in April, said that once the Islamic State set up its bases in Bangladesh, it will start launching attacks in eastern and western parts of India.

Shaykh said that Bengal (ISIS calls Bangladesh as Bengal) has a strategic location ad building a base there will make it easy for them to launch guerrilla attacks in India.

“Bengal is located on the eastern side of India, whereas Wilayat Khurasan is located on its western side. Thus, having a strong jihad base in Bengal will facilitate performing guerrilla attacks inside India simultaneously from both sides and facilitate creating a condition of tawahhush (fear and chaos) in India along with the help of the existing local mujahidin there,” India Today quoted Shaykh Hanif as saying in Dabiq.

In an interview, Shaykh blamed Hindus of India and Bangladesh of carrying out war against the Muslims.

“The Hindus of both Bengal and India have always been waging war against Islam and the Muslims. The only difference  is  that  the  Hindus  in India  show  their  animosity  towards  Islam  and  the  Muslims openly  whereas  the  Hindus  in Bengal do it in a more deceptive and  covert  manner  due  to  them being  a  minority  sect  here,” said Shaykh.

He also asked Muslims of India and Bengal to join ISIS and perform Jihad.

“I advise you to join us and perform  jihad with your wealth and your lives, as it is an obligation upon every capable Muslim,” he urged.

Meanwhile, after busting the Islamic State module in Hyderabad, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) claimed that the arrested youths were in touch with a former Indian Mujahideen member, who is currently a member of Islamic State, and were planning terror strikes in India.
