Two, including a cop, died in Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahr on Monday during violent protests between two groups over the issue of illegal slaughterhouse. During the high-voltage protests, members of several Hindu groups with an alleged cow carcass gathered on the Bulandshahr-Syana road and pelted stones at the police personnel, according to IANS. The Hindu Yuva Vahini and Bajrang Dal activists also vandalized vehicles and attacked police officials. They torched several passing vehicles. Police too opened fire in "self defence."
