In run-up to the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP will hold its two-day national council meeting beginning January 11 in the national capital, which would be attended by all ranks and files of BJP and its elected representatives, party leaders said on Saturday.
The venue for the council meeting will be central Delhi's Ramlila Maidan. The meeting, the party said, is expected to be attended by over 12,000 party workers and leaders.
To discuss the preparations of the national council meeting in the national capital, a meeting under the chairmanship of Delhi BJP President Manoj Tiwari was held at the party's Delhi unit office.
Speaking in the meeting, BJP national general secretary Anil Jain said the national council to be held in Ramlila Maidan will be the largest meeting before the Lok Sabha elections.
Jain said Prime Minister Narendra Modi, party President Amit Shah, Union Ministers, National and state office-bearers along with other leaders will participate in the meeting.
Tiwari said 24 departments have been formed for the preparations of the meeting.
