Varun Dhawan's throwback video

Varun Dhawan is undoubtedly everyone's favourite- be it his fans or co-stars. His joyful nature and warm personality make everyone feel comfortable and special around him. As the actor is celebrating his 32nd birthday on April 24, we have dug out a special video for his fans. This throwback video from Zee TV's show Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai hosted by Farooq Sheikh had filmmaker David Dhawan as the guest. The Judwaa director's family also made an appearance on the show which includes his wife Lali Dhawan and two sons- Rohit and Varun Dhawan.

In the video, which dates back to 2002, we see a bespectacled teenager singing praises of his dad. Varun gushed about how he is lucky to have David Dhawan as his father after which his filmmaker father hugs him warmly. Watch this adorable video.

On the professional front, Varun's last release Kalank failed to impress audience and critics alike. The Abhishek Varman's directorial which was hailed as period love saga is struggling to keep up the pace at the box office. The actor will next be seen in Street Dancer along with Shraddha Kapoor. He will also once again work with his director father in Coolie No 1 remake. The movie will be produced by Vashu Bhagnani who also backed the 1995 film starring Govinda and Karisma Kapoor.

"It's official... After 25 years David Dhawan and Vashu Bhagnani come back together to adapt their timeless comedy, 'Coolie No 1'. The film starring Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan begins shoot this August," a statement from the makers read.

In an interview with Filmfare, Varun spoke about the film, saying, “It is not a remake. The film is an adaptation, while the screenplay remains the same. We are changing a lot of things, and it will be different from the original. I have not seen such a wholesome entertainer in the last 15 years; so, I am doing it because I loved the screenplay. And being directed by dad is always great. I am aware that there will be comparisons, that is why I have taken it up.”
